The Core & Conditioning Classes
Due to Covid-19 we are currently running our classes online. The Physio Rooms Core & Conditioning Classes are more functional than traditional pilates, the majority of the time the exercises used reflects daily activities, by being on your feet or sitting, rather than lying on the floor. The class caters for all abilities, those returning from injury or those wanting a more demanding core workout to improve functional stability when training for sporting events. Each exercise is progressed through various levels and uses a swiss balls &
home made weights. The classes always finish with a selection of group core exercises & stretches for specific groups of muscles.

Client Testimonials
I just love the Core Classes Kate runs! I have been doing them for a year now and am so much stronger than when I started. I can once again run without being in a world of pain afterwards and my new core strength ensures I no longer suffer from back pain which I had ever since having my two girls:) Thanks Kate, love your work!Andrea 2016
Kate at Physio Room has sorted me out. I now have more strength through my core and no longer have back problems. She has a careful approach with clients to ensure strength is achieved without injury. I am now addicted to core classes and look forward to great winter snowboarding with new core strength. Great work Kate!Chris 2016
I highly recommend Kate's core classes for anyone wanting to strengthen their core. I particularly find it useful to build back strength after having kids and great to support sports, such as netball. She adapts/extends people to suit their individual needs, just awesome.Mary-Clare 2016
I have been going to Kate's Core & Conditioning Classes for a few months now and getting a lot of benefits. Kate's encouragement and attention makes the difference and is the reason I go back for more. Doing 2 classes a week has definitely helped as well. I am encouraged at the improvements, and find I can do more with more sessions and certainly feel better! Thanks!Linda 2016
I have been going to Kate's Core classes twice a week for a few months now and the difference these classes have made to my strength and posture is amazing. Another added bonus, the inches lost off my waist and stomach areas.Carol 2016
In 2014 my back was so bad that I was needing a chiropractic adjustment once a week. My chiropractor suggested The Core Classes at the Physio Room, to strengthen my stomach and back muscles so I wouldn't be in so much pain. I'm proud to say that I am only having a Chiro adjustment once a month, and I have much less painful "incidents". Kate pushes just the right amount, always makes sure we are doing the exercises correctly and also is one of the most delightful friendly ladies to spend a class with. Thank you for making me stronger Kate, it has changed my life!Deva 2015
Pilates
Pilates is a physical fitness and rehabilitation system developed by Joseph Pilates in Germany in the early 20th Century. It focuses on the core postural muscles which are essential to providing support for the spine. This class is great for those with back pain, returning from a period of low activity levels or wanting to maintain their core strength in order to be preventative.
The classes are run in blocks of 5, 6 or 7 weeks (except for Christmas) to align with school terms, this enables the exercises to progressively get harder as the weeks pass. It is not essential to have completed a course of Pilates before the Core & Conditioning Class, however it does help your understanding of body alignment. Alternatively a One-on-One session can be carried out first to determine which class would suit you best.
Please wear clean trainers, comfortable & relaxed clothing and if required bring a sweat towel.
